Located at 10-13 Daikanyamacho, this charming restaurant has become a favorite for locals and visitors alike, blending a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere with a menu that brings together the best of Japanese culinary traditions.

At Ogawaken, the dining experience begins with the ambiance. Situated in one of Tokyo's trendiest neighborhoods, the restaurant offers a relaxed yet refined environment. The menu at Ogawaken is where the real magic happens. It highlights a variety of traditional Japanese dishes, each made with the freshest ingredients, sourced locally and carefully curated. Their signature dishes, such as melt-in-your-mouth tuna sashimi and perfectly grilled eel, reflect the skill and attention to detail the chefs at Ogawaken bring to each dish.

For example, the sushi is presented beautifully, with a touch of artistry that reflects the rich history of sushi-making in Japan. Every dish, whether it’s a simple bowl of miso soup or an intricate tempura platter, is served with a level of care that is immediately noticeable. The flavors are balanced, and each ingredient is treated with the respect it deserves.

The drink menu complements the food perfectly. Ogawaken offers a selection of wines, sake, and cocktails that pair beautifully with their dishes. Say no more. This is the legacy of Japanese Yoshoku( Japanese version of European cuisine). Atmosphere is not too posh, yet not casual. Service is more than enough yet relaxing. It was all about just right. Not pushing you out of your comfortable zone. Food quality, temperature, timing and service were very well thought, just as if you are in western posh restaurants. Ogawaken is not just a name, tonight they have proven me that it is a brand name and they carry their legacy as The Ogawaken. I sincerely salute to all the legacy makers and I shall come back for further experience.

I visited there with my friend. We booked a table for two and there were very spacious seats. The foods costs a bit more expensive than average in Tokyo but they serve us good quality foods. I was very happy for my food (Omurice) and I could get a salad and little desert as a service. Please do not forget getting their special sweets, Raisin wich, it is one of my favourite sweets in Japan. I always get this special sweets for takeaway but always wanted to try food there. Overall, I enjoyed everything there. A quiet and beautifully place and you can enjoy elegant moments in Daikanyama.

Best raisin wich in the universe. You can’t die without eating this. Amazing combination of rum flavoured raisin and rich cream, together with rich butter cookies. It’s been a while eating this, when I put into my mouth I almost passed out. Soooooooooo goood!!
